The Platinum Rule

i got this one from a master. one of my favorites. Barney Stinson.


The golden rule.. y'all know that. i don't really need to explain it. BUT- there is a rule, higher than gold. it's called the Platinum rule: Never ever EVER ever love your neighbors (friends, coworkers, guildmates, etc.)


Why? ehem ehem. i'ma explain it to you. step by step. so listen / read properly.


oh, before that.. i'm going to use my own terms ayt? i'll use "her", "guildmate", "EB"(eyeball, guildmate get togethers.) etc. :3



Game, game, game..



ATTRACTION. The first sign of the rule. its when you get too attached in game and then suddenly, you just miss her. in EB's you hope she comes, and when you're together, these tiny sparks just flies past both of you.


BARGAINING. Tol, High Priest cia, Mechanic ako. magandang samahan to.. iwas pa sa sunugan ng supply.. bagay naman kami diba?. You sell her to your mates. letting them see why both of you would be perfect for each other.


SUBMISSION. wew. this is it.. You and i can be like Sonny and Cher, honey and bear~ Yes. both of you feels the same way now. wow wow wow.... *tu tu tu tut tu tuuu* (level up sound)


ahhh... the PERKS. "Hey, let's level up together, Endless tower sucks.. can you support me in Biolabs? oh, you need some zeny? of course. got sh*tloads of it my dear.." Would you look at that. both parties are happy. but there will always be a time that fate will rip both of you apart. sooner or later..


the TIPPING POINT. "you weren't online last night.. what happened? did you not receive my PM? i told you i need you, you didn't even showed up. i ain't going to no EB unless you're there. screw our guildmates all i want to meet is you. " ....The time wherein your online relationship seems to be tighter.. til it chokes you. til it hurts one or both of you..


now. We step into the PURGATORY. This is where you feel the need to get out of your bond. the ties between the mechanic and the high priest. one of you, or even both gets irritated.. but you can't say it directly because you don't want to hurt anyone. especially not her.


sigh.. we all hate this, but we need to get through. CONFRONTATION. The time you say "we need to talk.." you had enough of the fights, the misunderstandings, the pain. "Its time to end this." one walks away. The other, just stays.


FALLOUT. both of you are guildmates. you play the same game. you have each others numbers. but it's not the same anymore. You try to be cold, she tries to avoid you, awkward silences, everything that's about her just kills you.. and then you say to yourself "I'll never survive this.. God knows what she thinks of me.."



Sad ending? not really. there is one rule that will overshadow these feelings, the pain, the awkward silence. everything.

THE RULE OF COEXISTENCE.
No matter what you do. She will always be a High Priest support and warper, you will always be a Suicide Mechanic killing enemy lines. both in the same guild. sa tagalog, kahit anung gawin niu eh, mgkasama parin kayo.. iisa parin kayo, sove parin diba? magkakasundo parin kayo sooner or later. you'll realize that those awkward silences will fade. The pain both of you obtained. The feelings will also fade, but it will be replaced with something better..

Sabi nga sa song ni bamboo "It will all get better, All we need is time.."

Before loving others, you must know how to love yourself. Basically, you cannot give something to someone which you don't have. For example, Me, I can't give my friend a donut without me having one. Loving is loving the other person happy without you waiting for something in return. If you are waiting for something, that's not love, that's business.

Love at first sight is never been true because you don't know what can make the other person happy. So if you love, you really must know the other person. His/her likes and dislikes, favorites and hate, etc.

So people, be careful when you get infatuated. Hopefully it'll go straight to love, not to anywhere else. If he/she didn't love you back. Just stay happy. Atleast, that love changed you even a bit for the better. Because the power of love can make you a better person.
